Anti-wrinkle
Injection Treatments
|
Wrinkles are caused
by contractions of underlying facial muscles
every time you smile, laugh or frown. As the
skin loosens its elasticity with age, wrinkles
become more prominent.
Anti-wrinkle injection treatments
are a safe and effective way to reduce the
appearance of lines on the forehead and crow’s
feet around the eyes. The treatment involves
a series of tiny injections into the facial
muscles which smooth out the skin and help
to soften the appearance of lines.
We also administer injection-based
treatments to the lips to give a full and
more sculptured appearance.

As the needles used are so tiny,
and as only a small amount of filler is injected,
the pain associated with treating both wrinkles
and lips is minimal.
The injections are administered
by doctors to ensure they are precise and
effective and only affect the muscles in question,
leaving the rest of the face to display expressions
as normal.
The injections only weaken
the muscles temporarily, so both wrinkle and
lip treatments need to be repeated about every
four months to ensure a long- lasting effect.

| Permanent
Hair Removal |
There are
many methods of hair removal including shaving,
plucking, waxing and electrolysis – but
these are, in varying degrees, messy, ineffective,
time - consuming and always temporary. IPL is
a more permanent way to remove unwanted hair
safely from any skin type.
IPL treatment removes hair from
all areas of the body including the chin, upper
lip, cheeks, legs, arms, underarms, back, chest
and bikini line.
It works best on hair with some
element of pigmentation, including black, brown,
red, and even some blonde hair. |

IPL works by disabling
the hair follicle and thereby preventing further
re-growth. Much of the hair is wiped off when
the treatment is over, with the rest of the
hair falling out in the next week or so.
The number of treatments required
depends on the thickness of the hair and the
size of the area to be treated. Generally, three
to five sessions each lasting 20 minutes are
found to be sufficient.

| Vascular
Laser System (VLS) |
Unsightly larger
veins and more prominent skin blemishes, such
as large areas of pigmentation and port wine
stains, affect many thousands of people.
VLS involves sending a small
spot of laser through the skin to treat these
more intricate conditions. After this, any associated
smaller surface and spider veins or surrounding
discolouration can be treated with IPL to achieve
a blemish-free result. |

The length of the
course depends on the size of the blemish, but
we generally recommend a series of three to
five sessions, each lasting approximately 30
minutes.
As with IPL, the major advantage
of VLS is that it is brief, relatively pain-free
and does not require the use of needles or surgery.
Clients can resume normal every-day activity
soon after. |

| PermaLipTM |
Now available at
AMA is the revolutionary, patented PermaLipTM
implant was invented in 2002, and is the only
CE Marked medical device designed exclusively
for lip enhancement.
PermaLipTM is made from a very
soft silicone elastomer made in a shape corresponding
to the dimensions of the lip. It is solid, with
a smooth surface that tapers at both ends to
conform naturally to the normal lip. |

| Photofacial
Rejuvenation |

is the latest treatment that uses IPL to remove
facial imperfections and give the face a more

Facial blemishes that can be
corrected include birthmarks, sun damaged skin,
age spots, skin discolouration, small broken
veins and capillaries, and signs of rosacea. |
